About Us

Rochester Robinson, Sr., along with several dedicated family members, founded the Robinson Pauley Aldridge Family Reunion in Baltimore, Maryland in 1976, and served as the National Coordinator until his death in November 2003. Rochester was passionate about the family reunion and charged us to remain strong and continue this mission of family unity and preservation. He was born in Marengo County, Alabama, in 1944, to the late Clifford Robinson, Sr., and the late Estelle Pauley Robinson. He was one of eleven children. In 1963, he relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, where he was later married to Ms. Jacqueline Grandy. He had four children. 

We honor Rochester Robinson for his strength and tenacity in bringing the vision of many to reality. We know that Rochester did not do it alone. We are eternally grateful and appreciative of all family members and close family  friends who have worked so hard to make the reunions the success that they have always been. No one of us is as strong or as powerful as all of us! 

These families, Robinson, Pauley and Aldridge, originate in Marengo County, Alabama. They have gathered once a year for over 45 years in about ten states throughout the country. Together again without tears! We come together annually to celebrate accomplishments, mourn losses, and encourage future successes. In spite of all things, this is a great family and we continue to love, cherish and hold each other in the highest esteem.

  ~~The Robinson Pauley Aldridge Family Reunion operates primarily out of Baltimore, Maryland, with a Board of Directors, a National Coordinator and nine State Committees. The primary focus of the family reunion is maintaining strong family ties and preserving family history. 

Over the years, the family reunion has evolved into a national organization with an executive board, by-laws and reunion guidelines (Below). State Committees either exist or have existed in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Current Board positions are: Executive Director, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, Business Manager, National Coordinator and Advisor.
